How many layers are the pads?
Since the pads are sealed around all edges, I really can't tell you how many actual layers are there but they are very absorbant.
Can this be used as puppy pads?
Yes. They work quite well. They are much better as they are larger than the average puppy pad.
Will these work for laying under a sick child who is vomiting?
They should work well, I am paralyzed and have no control of bladder and bowels so use them in bed under me. They work well.
